Have you seen the news?

Meta just announced another 4,000 layoffs as they pivot towards AI. And they're not alone - Workday, Salesforce, and Google are all doing the same thing. The tech giants are going all-in on AI, with a mind-blowing $320 billion in combined AI investments expected this year.

As a leadership Keynote Speaker and Facilitator, I'm fascinated by what this means for those leading through these stormy times. While everyone's talking about who's leaving, I'm thinking about those who remain – the leaders who need to keep their teams motivated and moving forward.

Here's what keeps me up at night: How do you maintain team spirit and drive innovation when everything around you is changing at warp speed?

This is exactly why I'm writing my new book on "The CAN Do Mindset."

Let me share what CAN means and why it matters now more than ever:

  3. N is for Nexus: This is where the rubber meets the road. Being physically present, stress resilient and energised to take action – that's what leadership looks like in practice. You need to be the bridge between your team's current skills and the AI-powered future we're racing toward.

When I hear Zuckerberg talking about "raising the bar" for an "intense" 2025, I think about how the leaders who embrace this CAN Do Mindset aren't just surviving – they're turning these challenges into catalysts for growth.

Remember this: Your mindset isn't just about you – it's the lighthouse that guides your entire team. When you maintain clarity in chaos, show emotional agility, and actively build bridges to the future, you're not just leading – you're transforming challenges into opportunities for everyone.

I truly believe the future belongs to leaders who can inspire their teams through change while keeping their humanity intact. That's why the CAN Do Mindset isn't just useful – it's essential.
